Endorsements for Preacher’s Daughter

Rev. Jeri Wright’s call to ministry has summoned her to write a compelling healing story. She does in her new book what few people can or may be willing to do —she opens up and shares her deepest pain so that someone else can be delivered and inspired, while both standing in her truth and in victory. Her book is real, it is transparent, and it is authentic. It will bless anyone who has faced a challenge and can say, “I’m still standing.”

God is using your book as a blessing for our edification, the glorification of the church and the glorification of the grace and goodness of God.

Description

Preacher’s Daughter is a surprisingly moving and poignant testimony of trials and triumphs in the face of public scrutiny. Jeri opens up and allows us to take a peek into her most intimate vulnerabilities, frailties, as well as strengths. Through the lessons she was a taught as a child; Jeri shares the secrets of her survival and triumphs through the midnight hours of her life – strong faith embraced by the unconditional love from her family, especially her devoted sister Janet, and her rock, Devin, her late husband who was her anchor then and still is now. Her very close friends provided her sustained comfort.

But it was her faith in God that showed up when she needed it the most and really made the difference in her journey. Jeri’s account of her passage through the pit, which she so vividly, passionately and intently wrote about, grabs your emotions and leaves you weeping and wondering what if … what if I had to go through the pit, what would I do, who could I rely on or call upon? Jeri provides the answer — God. Haunted by shame and unexplainable anguish, Jeri shows us what happens when you can’t breathe, when you can’t fathom what’s happening to you and why.

She shows us what it takes when all around you is spiraling out of control and you are forced by circumstances beyond your control to prevail in unknown waters and foreign territories. She shows us for survival sake how to dig deep and pull up the God force within, which was embedded in her from the spiritual underpinning taught by her Dad. Expressing her inner most anxieties, fears and personal warfare, Jeri bares her soul to the world and presents a pathway for how to survive and ultimately succeed when life’s challenges crash upon you and darkness blights you to the point of inertia.

She shows us the power of God and what WTF really means!! When you read this book, as I did three times, you will see that this journey provides a rear look into the sacrificial life of some PK’s who grow up and live in the public spotlight with the rare opportunity to actually live life like normal people. You will be inspired by this journey and blessed by the way Jeri exercised what she was taught as a child and used that as her bridge over troubled waters. Jeri Wright came through her pit moving through new moments of triumph in her life with victory and the force of her God beneath her wings. When you read her account, you will undoubtedly be blessed.

Preacher’s Daughter is a powerful must read for those who are traveling through their personal pits of life. Through it all, Jeri shows that joy comes in the morning… because God is always there.

Personal Testimony

I hope that all is well with you and the family. I received your book yesterday and have read it from cover to cover. Thank you for this phenomenal piece of literature. It’s amazing how both our experiences align…Talk about the fellowship of sufferings..I am learning to keep my gaze upon the Lord. When I begin to sink into depression and start to feel like a failure, I arrest those thoughts by breathing in “Lord, I Receive You”, and exhaling out “Lord, I need you.” It’s a wonderful feeling when God replaces those thoughts with His during this exercise. Your book has truly blessed me. It is currently floating around the unit now and other brothers are being blessed by it. Every time I go to retrieve it, another brother had began to read it. God is really moving in here by the vehicle of the book.
Since I’ve been incarcerated since Oct, I tried to hide my gifts and not sharing the Gospel with others as I knew I should have been doing. But since I’ve been in FCI…, I openly share in 6 bible studies throughout the week (about 8 of us meet … every night…Wow), I lead prayer…and last week after the bible study I uncontrollably just blurted out singing “Tis So Sweet To Trust In Jesus.” It’s like the Holy spirit forced my mouth open to sing. I hadn’t uttered a note since returning from Europe. I tried my best to hide this gift. I sang with my eyes closed and when I opened them at the end of the song, men’s hands were raised, some were crying in the spirit, and some were laid out prostrate on the floor worshiping God. PRAISE GOD!
I’ll end here…I hope you received this. I am continually praying for you that God will bless you and your organization and that he will continue to be comfort for you in the transitioning of Brother Devin. What an awesome Man of God the Lord chose to cover you. Take care of yourself and know that I appreciate you for every word spoken over my life, every prayer, and for your unfailing friendship.
With Love and Gratitude,
– Tim W.
